Acceptable Stay but System Issues

The location is great due to the close proximity to the shopping mall.
I had pre-paid for rooms, but the hotel claimed I had not. It took a long time to resolve with staff blocking keys until I proved payment, wasting my time at the reception. This system error created a lot of frustration. I had to scream to solve this. Even after resolving the initial issue, they charged me for a room they said was cancelled, though I never received confirmation.

the breakfast was acceptable.
the room decor seemed dated and there was an unpleasant smell (i tried to ignore it). a flickering light in the entrance and a broken bulb were not fixed, which i found odd. i won't be returning because the experience was subpar for a supposed five-star hotel.

the gym had three treadmills and two stationary bikes. the breakfast buffet included a variety of pastries and fresh fruit. there were twenty loungers at the pool area. a shaded section provided relief from the sun. i found two separate sinks and a rainfall shower in the room.
the balcony was quite small and offered limited space to relax.
